Stock Gifts, Bonds, Securities and Wire Transfers: The Great Government Group welcomes gifts of stocks, bonds and other securities. A gift of appreciated securities allows you to take an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the asset to the extent allowable by law, regardless of the original purchase price.

Matching Gifts: Inquire with your employer as to whether they have a matching gifts program. When your employer matches your contribution to The Great Government Group you can double or even triple your gift's effectiveness. Q: How Do I Provide For The Great Government Group in My Will?

There are three types of bequests:

Specific Bequest - You designate a specific dollar amount, specific percentage, or specific property to The Great Government Group.
Residual Bequest - Your estate will pay all debts, taxes, expenses, and specific bequests. The remaining amount--the residual--will be transferred to The Great Government Group.
Contingent Bequest - You can ask that The Great Government Group receive all or a portion of your estate only under certain circumstances. For example, you can name The Great Government Group as a beneficiary of your estate only if there are no surviving close family members. Childless couples sometimes provide for the entire estate to go to the surviving spouse, or if the spouse does not survive, to The Great Government Group.
