Shrink Government
Americans expect OUR elected representatives to be an efficient Voice in our hometowns, our States and in Washington D.C.
When the People lose their Voice to elected officials who vote for bloated government, We The People need to remove from office the elected officials who do not speak for us.
Our forefathers did not intend that Government be so large that the People’s labor be taken to grow government. It was designed to insure that the People’s efforts are used for their own good and for their own destiny.
The Great Government Group will help you take action to Shrink Local, State, and Federal Government to restore the Voice - of The People, By The People, and For The People.
Our Federal Government is far too large for its own good. More importantly, it is too large for the good of American citizens. A government that is far too large is also far too expensive and far too inefficient. Americans must . . .
Have the self-reliance and self-sufficiency that our parents and grandparents demonstrated. We must stop looking to the government to take care of our every need. More caretakers only mean more government.
Politicians, on both sides of the aisle, have forgotten the importance of low taxes and small business – instead of high taxes and big government. But we can shrink government by . . .
1. Accepting that a giant government is an American problem that we Americans have caused – and a problem that Americans can fix.
The first step to fixing large government is to admit that we individual Americans have caused our own problems. You and I have let government spin out of control. Each of us must admit that it is our lack of action that has allowed the run-away growth of government. We must first take personal responsibility.
2. We then can identify the areas of government that we can downsize or eliminate.
Our government is so large that the individual American has lost track of what our Government spends. For example, how much of our government is devoted to helping solve foreign problems instead of American problems?
Imagine that you owned a company and wanted it to stay in business. Would you allow your employees to take on any project they wanted - with your money? Would you allow your employees to hire more and more employees for their own projects and pay them with your money – with no regard for a budget?
3. We can then demand that waste be cut. If it is not, we can remove elected officials who won’t act to downsize our growing government.
As Americans, we can do more than be frustrated. We can, for example, ask our elected representative to suggest 10 areas where they can and will shrink government. We can ask them to tell us how they will do it. We can ask what promises they can keep insuring that our government will become smaller – not larger.
We can send their answer to our newspapers to publish. We can ask for a timetable or schedule for results. We can mark our calendars. We can watch for success. We can remove elected officials who can’t or won’t shrink government.
We can tell our friends what we are doing. We can ask our friends to help. We can each do a small thing. Together we can do a larger thing. We can make government smaller.
